What we Indians still lack is the true sense of being free. My school taught me this and my teachers never questioned nor ridiculed my precocious sense of enquiry and love of being polemical. Library teacher was always ready with books I might like and the lab assistant sir was ready with
explanations for res natura. The lush green field tasted of infinity. The bushes at the corners beckoned me like a mysterious realm. And the tall Palm tree at the southern end overlooking the school on the other side of the wall was an exhortation to look always up towards the immense azure sky. It was nature that my school taught me. My intellectual and spiritual guidance my school caused to provide me with, way back in the late eighties when I passed out.
