There were time when shopping had real sense of going to market, checking on different stuff, (if possible) bargain on the price, buy the stuff and lastly enter your home and start doing fashion show

of whatever you have purchased.

With times changing the method of shopping has also changed. Now I think, people just want to shop to spend money.

I was never a shopping freak and am still not. Sorry to those offended with the above statement. Let me prove it to you…

My experiences on receiving gifts sent by, Rediff shopping As I said I was never a shopping freak so never purchased anything online… But I do have experiences receiving gifts…

Experience 1: Hubby dear booked this cute pair of earrings online from Rediff to be delivered on a particular special day. With rediff promising to deliver on that Special day. Hubby is quite convinced and happy that he has some surprise for this time at least (he has tried surprises many times but never succeeded, now I guess he has stopped giving surprises). I get call from my office that they have received some parcel thru rediff from hubby and I will need to go and collect it. I was so irritated as to why has he sent the gift to office address and that too on a holiday day??? Only later to know that he had planned the surprise, and indeed the surprise it was but for himself.

Experience 2: Brother dear has sent this gift for rakhi from rediff. He waited for 10 long days before asking, how was the gift? I was really surprise as to what gift he is talking about (So at least the surprises work)? Till date I haven’t received the parcel, despite calling the courier guys at least 2-3 times daily and complaining rediff via their customer service daily by an email. Can anyone tell me when will my surprise be delivered to me? But how can you guys reply when even the rediff guys themselves doesn’t have any reply.

By the way they say that the gift is returned back to rediff? Can anyone at least explain when the parcel never reached me, how can it be returned to rediff?? J

Rediff thus gives me fear even to try surprising someone by shopping from their site. I have visited Rediff shopping only to complaint, which has gone to unheard ears and left me with frustration.

In short, Do Not Try Rediff Shopping!!!! Or try if you got too much time and money to waste along with frustrating yourself and your near and dear ones.
