Bought this in 2000 and it continues to work great. I can't even trade it in for a flatscreen. That would be just wanton waste. Picture is crisp, yeah I know it ain't HD, but it still looks good. Can't break this thing. I dropped and submerged (literally) the remote, let it dry, taped up the battery cover and it works like a charm.
Carry it in my travel trailer unsecured, just bouncing around on the floor. No problem. 11 years of great service while all the new technologies have passed it by. VCR still works great. I can record shows while I'm away. You have to buy TiVO to do that otherwise. What a champion!
