I travelled in Sharma Transports (http://www.sharmatransports.com) bus with my wife. It was volvo sleeper bus. I had terrbile experience! When bus started from Bangalore, after some time water started
leaking into our berth! When I asked driver, he casually said "when it rains, water gets filled up in air conditioner duct and so it leaks! It’ll stop when rain stops!" I was surprised to hear such a response from him! I had to sleep with part of berth being wet!
It seems these drivers are least bothered about ladies. For nature’s call, this driver was stopping near road-side tea shops. Though men could go for nature’s call, ladies had the problem as it was open space! I saw driver suggesting one lady to go in the open field! To my surprise, none of those ladies protested or bashed him! (That is the problem with we Indians! We try to adjust to everything!)
To add to the list, the berth I got was in the last row and it was lower berth. It was made right above the engine (or may be A/C) of the bus. We had to sleep with the sound and smell which was coming out of that engine. Also, hot air was coming out beneath the seat! And it was shaking lot at the rare end! I wonder why the hell did they put that seat just above the engine! Is making money the only mantra for them?
Though I bashed the drivers, that didn’t help in anyway! The one thing which I noticed that people try to adjust to everything. If we are paying money, we should get the service for that. It is better if we bring such things to the notice of people. I’ll never ever take Sharma Transports bus in my life! I’ve also sent a mail to the Sharma Transports people. If I hear from them, I’ll update it here.
