I opened trading and demat account with sharekhan in 2013 .they opened my account free of cost .
But actually they don't open your account free of cost because they charge .02% intraday and .10% for delivery brokrage really this is too high brokerage because other company can offer you .01% or 20 r.s fix brokerage . And sharekhan also charge 300 per year for annual maintenance charges so this is again very high .
After bearing all of these charges I decided to close all accounts with sharekhan .and the last thing that they also charge much higher for technical tools like charts . Indicator etc.
But their customer service is much impressive and they also provide dial & trade facility for free.
Final review : I will not recommend sharekhan to anyone for trading because you can search many other brokers like sharekhan in very low charges with great facilities .
