I have an account with Sharekhan. The linked account was with a branch of SBI. The Branch switched over to CBS and the a/c no was changed. I had thereafter deposited a cheque with them with a letter from
me indicating the change in a/c no duly certified by the Branch. The cheque was credited.
But when I went next time with the cheque, they refused and told that I have to bring cancelled cheque and Bank statement for last six months. The customer executive was adamant and when I met the Branch Manager she was very angry as I had destroyed her valuable time.
I made a complaint to their head office through their website. There was a phone call and they agreed that I was correct. But nothing happened and they again flatly refused. Meanwhile,I have lost a lot of money as the shares were sold for compliance.
I feel the customers should abandon such arrogant,careless and untrustworthy brokers. That is the best way to teach them a befitting lesson.
