This college has wonderful infrastructure, great facilities in terms of labs, classrooms etc.The biggest disadvantage for a student of this college is that he/she receives no support from the college.Students are assets of any educational institute but here they are treated very badly.The teaching and non teaching staff harass the students like anything.The student's life is a total struggle.Teachers dont award good marks in teamwork, paper correction is pathetic with no uniformity, harassment in journal corrections, insulting during vivas etc.Just imagine because of such policies the percentage and scoring levels go down like anything.In every semester students lose abt 5-6% marks because of poor teamwork given to them.It makes a huge difference in the end when companies come for recruitment and ask for min 60% aggregate. The.The IT dept is the worst of the three departments.Computers and electronics are slightly better but the mentality of he teachers is the same throughout all the departments.
New graduates are asked to take lectures for B.E students what nonsense people who are just a year older with no teaching experience are teaching at the highest UG level.There are too much restrictions in terms of attendance but the management must take note of the fact that how many of the lectures are worth attending.teaching level is very poor , faculty is also bad with no knowledge of the subjects.
The First year staff is very bad and they just harass the students like anything.They are the worst possible people in entire mumbai university.non teaching staff are another bunch of clowns who harass students during workshops .These people are very lazy they take the money for stationary and never give it on time.THE stationary shop only opens for 10 minutes a day but no one knows when.
Office staff is full of rude, arrogant jokers who keep on hurling verbal abuses to the students.
Coming to the important people of the college .The Head of IT dept is an old man with very poor knowledge of software.He is still teaching outdated techniques to students and harsses them in projects, projects reports because of DFD and ER diagrams.some students are asked to prepare the reports all over again.what a waste of time ............
Most of the teachers say that "U WILL FAIL IN viva" and "U WILL NOT GET GOOD GRADE"
"we will not accept ur submission" such kind of words which really demotivates students and they get really scared.Coming to the placement of the college .It is going from bad to worse to worst now even a level lower than it.Very few companies are visiting the college for campus recruitment.BPO'S and
coaching classes to some small third rate companies are invited for placements at an engineering college which is really shameful.The training and placement officer who is also a senior professor who proclaims to be a supemo of the college runs a parallel management where even Director and principal cannot interfere in his decisions.He is running the college as his own pvt ltd company.
This guy's rules are unique he takes lectures twice in the semester and that too at 7-8 am in the morning and himself will come around 9 -9.30 am. His only words are "write last 5 question papers 5 times".just because of him the placement rate has gone very low........He is a very arrogant person.
coming to paper correction, The maths faculty assess the maths papers in a very shabby & most unaccepted ways that is why there are many failures in internal exams in maths.IF u get the right answer for a 3 page problem full marks is a distinct possibility else zero even if most of the solution is correct in a 10 mark problem.Other mathematical subjects are also assessed in a very bad way.......even if paper is tough other colleges award some grace marks and check paper leniently here it is total opposite.
people who cant speak two lines in english are made teachers which is really shameful for a A grade college.Students suffer as no one listens to their woes and problems .I hope atleast the managing council will read through this and take some corrective & firm steps inorder to protect the student's interest.
Everyone wants a college to improve, grow , scale new heights so it is our collective responsibility to point out the defects, flaws and overcome them inorder to ensure a bright future for the institute.
