Thank God I live in US so don't watch many of such products, but whenever I go to India I find my family stuck on a couple of such pathetically hilarious serials.
The concept starts out on a social issue but in two shows ends up in a household full of scheming ladies, useless demands, Bahu's who are not normal - either they are sati savitri's or Sunny Leone's LOL!
The men of the house have been put in a virtual kabar, having no say in the house. A bitchy old lady is never told to behave herself or face consequences.
And can please someone tell what is the meaning of a crore rupees to these serial makers. They use 500 crores as if it is a Rs 5000 uselessly lying around whereas in reality people struggle for 500 Rs.
Yup 500 crores(some even mention 5000 crores) and women wearing UP style gawdy sarees and men wearing dhoti's around!
