I am not ashamed to say at all that I work for BPO’s. Most of the people would start judging me from this moment after reading the first line. Well, gone are the days where everyone gets a Government job. I started my career with Serco, then known as Intelenet Global Services(International Process). It was a new experience for me. Attractive salary, big company, attractive men – everything was perfect.
Intelenet/Serco is a good place to work if you have the patience and low self-esteem.
Okay! Without getting to the Cons directly let me take you’ll through the flowery picture first.
Pros:
Cafeteria
It has the best cafeteria, I have ever seen. It’s huge and lots and lots of options. The rates were very reasonable and pocket friendly and the taste and quality were health friendly. From Vegetarian Thaali to Pasta everything was available. If you really like treating your taste buds, be to the cafeteria of Serco once. You will enjoy. And do try the Pasta from the Crepe Corner.
Security and Transportation
The security was pretty good. The checking done by them and special guards sent for female employees was remarkable. Centralized pickups and home drops were my favorites.
Training
I was in a 100% Voice Process and hence was given a 2 weeks Voice and Accent Training and a 4 weeks Process Training. The training period was one of the most awesome experience in Intelenet. Trainers were good and very well versed.
Every review we write people read them to know the Cons of it rather than the Pros.
Cons:
People
People in Intelenet are full of attitude. Most of them earn pretty well and when someone earns good attitude is a bonus that comes along. Some people were really rude and we all judge a place by its people.
Management
I loved my company in the beginning when I was in the training period but later when I was a part of the real production team, I started hating my job to the core. Management can keep people happy and cut off the attrition level. But here the pressure of the management kept on increasing resulting in attrition one after the other from my team.
Boss
One needs to have a good and supportive boss. Shouldn’t be saying this on World Wide Web but my boss wasn’t the best boss. He was demanding and very dominating. Bosses are supposed to be like that but at the cost of not keeping your employees happy?
Work
A person works for job satisfaction along with good salary. Salary was good enough with Intelenet for a fresher but job satisfaction – Not at All!
I personally wouldn’t recommend someone to join this company but if someone wants to earn through overtime and incentives – this is the place to be…
