Story:

This book is popular as one of the children’s classics- and so, I had to pick it up from the Sunday Delhi book market(if you haven’t been there, it is near Daryaganj- held every Sunday); as I am working on a short stories book for children myself.

This book’s protagonist is the orphan Mary, who arrives at her uncle’s place and discovers an overgrown garden. She then tries to bring changes into the garden, by attempting to make it look more beautiful. In the process- she also experiences significant changes within herself. Then there is also the character of her cousin Colin, who has been suffering from some incurable disease. Now Mary’s mission is to urge him to love the garden as much as he can, so that he could be brought out of the misery sooner.
