This book is a love story about Maya who is really pretty girl. She somehow wanted to escape from her middle class home at calcutta . She was so fascinated by the glamour of dream city " Mumbai" where she move after her marriage with her husband who was a handsome looking man Rajan . Maya wanted to be an ideal wife but she was stuck in her arranged marriage where she feels her husband is conservative. He was not the one she desired. She strikes up a friendship with Nikhil and not being much happy with her husband she got attracted to Nikhil. This story is about love, betrayal, and the paths not taken.
