Recently I had to order some vacuum cleaner belts for my Kenmore Upright and I decided to go to www.sears.com instead of going to the store, which is 15 miles away and in the mall and since I hate shopping at the mall, the online store was best for me.

The Online Store

When you go to www.sears.com you will find an attractive homepage that will certainly encourage you to look at what they have for sale! The center of the homepage will always have the current online sales and sales that are also in the store. These will always vary and change about once a week. They even offer a Clearance Section.

Across the top of any page you will find links for Appliance, Baby, Clothing, Computers, Home, Gifts, Jewelry, Lawn and Garden, Moves, Games, and Music, Sporting Goods, Tools and Toys.

Across the very top of a page you will always be able to check your cart, profile, get help, find a store and check your order.

On the left hand side of a page you will find links that take you to the above pages but these are broken down a little more making it easier for you to find what you are looking for. There is also a search engine that you can use.

When I was looking for my particular model I was unable to find it because the units have changed in a year. They now come in colors! So, I had to email Customer Service with my model number to find the right belts. Of course, within 24 hours I had a response along with a link that took me to exactly what I needed. From there I was able to order the belts and check out with no problems.

Other Stuff

In the center of the homepage towards the bottom you will find other options of interest. You have the option to order online and pick up at your local Sears Store. You can even locate a store nearest you!

You can see the As Seen On TV Make Over Edition products as well by clicking on that link. I don?t know about you guys but I love that show and it was rather interesting to click that link and see where it would take me. If you click this link you will be taken to www.abc.com for more information about Sears and the remodeling they do for so many needed families.

You can also click the As seen on TV link for the current products that are available on the commercials. You can get more detail about the products. In fact, each product link you click you will find detailed information about the product. Full product detail, spec of the product, delivery of the product, service and satisfaction of the product. Very helpful stuff.

You can even find links for www.sear.com Specialties such as: Car Rentals, Optical, Parts, Photo and many others. Each of these will take you to a page full of more information about the topic of choice.

You can even sign up for emails from www.sears.com, which I did. Like to see what they have on sale from time to time.

The shipping and handling varies from 5.25 up to 280.00, depending on the amount you spend. If you click on the Customer Service link you can find out more about the shipping and handling charges as well as where they ship to and how they ship. I strongly suggest reading this information first before ordering a heavy appliance to be delivered! In store pick up is most likely the right choice to make sometimes.

How I Feel

I have been a long time shopper with Sears and now will be with www.sears.com. The site is very easy to use and get around. Checking out was so simple and all major credit cards are accepted. My order was to me in about a week and was correct.

The Customer Service via email was friendly and helpful and I was glad I was able to get the part number because I couldn?t find my paperwork. Of course after I emailed them and ordered I found said paper work!

Overall I was very happy with www.sears.com and will certainly use them again and again.
