Looking at the reviews of Seabird, I am dismayed people have rated it so poor. I have travelled on the Bangalore-Boa-Bangalore route multiple times and Seabird is usually my second preference after VRL. Before proceeding further, let me make myself very clear - I am NOT an employee of Seabird and this is NOT a paid or sponsored review. This is purely my opinion based on my journeys with Seabird. I agree there have been some issues with the punctuality of buses, and I have faced delays occasionally. But I didn;t come across anything that'd put me off real bad.
Condition of buses are acceptable as far as Volvos are concerned. There are no broken armrests or dysfunctional charging ports or torn headrests. Interiors are clean and AC vents do function as expected. I have not travelled by their non-Volvo buses and wouldn't be in a position to comment on the condition of such buses. Prices of tickets are reasonable and often work out 20-30% cheaper than VRL or SRS. Punctuality of buses has been highlighted by so many other people but out of 6 journeys so far, I have had only one occasion where the bus was delayed by 2 hrs. On all other occasions, the delay was within 1 hour, and that was purely owing to peak hour traffic inside Bangalore city limits.
Overall, I've had quite a positive experience with Seabird over multiple journeys and they work out cheaper than competing services on the same route.
