I have completed Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in 2010, so I am the best guy to tell you about the course, it placements and about the field. After passing+2 with physics, chemistry and Math one gets admission to this course. Believe me one should not take admission to this course. it will be better if you take admission in B. TECH or B. E rather than AME course. This course is conducted by Director General Of Civil Aviation. After passing those five semester from the interview you will have to go through an On Job Training of six moths but this is not it. These semesters are not valuable because one have to pass licence examination papers of DGCA whose pass marks is 70%. So it is not that much easy and after completing the course and clearing at least two licence papers one have to do unpaid training under various aviation company, airlines for a uncertain period and after that if you are lucky enough you will get a job of a very less salary. So, now its all upon you.
