Schindler's list is a booker prize winning book written by Thomas Keneally and published in 1984. It was later adapted into a highly successful movie directed by Steven Spielberg.
It is a mesmerizing novel based on the life of the war profiteer and factory director Oskar Schindler who saved a large number of people from getting slaughtered in the infamous gas chambers of the nazi camp.
From what we see, he was not a hero at all, but merely a highly effective businessman who made it large in the times of the World War 2. He becomes a hero later when he realized that he has the ability to save thousands of men.
