Based in Poland during the World War II, the story moves around'Oskar Schindler' and when he begins to get concerned about his Jewish workforce after witnessing their prosecution by the Nazis.
Oskar Schindler was someone who turned his factory into a work force for Jewish workers amidst the tragic treatment that they were receiving by the Nazis - it's a story of betrayal on one hand and humanity on the other, it's a story of hate on one end and story of love and victory on the other - it's a story of life. Period.
Even though I usually believe that films don't do justice to the books that they're inspired from, Steven Spielberg has managed to get the essence of this book into his film and I'm definite that Thomas Keneally will be happy with the end result. A must read.
