We have all heard about Holocaust but this book brings forth the real horrors without being meodramatic. The story is about Oskar Schindler who was actually a Nazi party member and an industrialist who profited by making arms during the second world war but then he figured out what Hitler was really doing and go concerned about the condition of Jews working in his factory. The innovative way in which he ended up saving almost 1200 Jews from the Nazi clutches is the crux of the story.
Everything in the book is factual and nothing has been sensationalized for added effects. Even the reality is so shocking that it is not easily believable that once upon a time people were treated like this. The fact that Oskar Schindler is not portrayed as a flawless hero makes the story more relatable. He was a normal person with his flaws but he did something that changed the world forever, atleast for those people he saved and their descendants. The way the story moves forward is thrilling enough to keep us glued to the edge of our seats even though we already know the ending.
