The author, Lucy Sussex, has written several books on genres like fantasy, science fiction, true crime, etc. A friend of mine recommended her to me and I was just able to find a used copy of this book in the local book store. Her strong sense of feminism is quite evident in this book.
The protagonist, Melvina Kirksley has a new job at hand and her very first project is to find out the identity of a mystery writer who wrote The Scarlet Rider.
The book is full of mysteries and will sure keep you engaged. There are elements of mystery, feminism in the book. I wouldn't call it a great book, but it is pretty good. Sussex's writing will take you to the 90s. The end, however, was a bit disappointing but the whole book is surely worth a read. Now I look forward to reading her award winning short story "My lady tongue".
