It is a fact that if the original is a big success the copycats tend to be cheap imitation. That is the sad story of SDCK.
KBC was a novel concept in India. It had all the elements needed for success - great set, the charisma of Big B, the participant friendly style and the catchy phrases (Sure, Lock Kiya Jai etc...).
SDCK tried the same but it became a poor imitator. Both the hosts could not match the charisma and friendliness of Big B. The questions appeared a little complex. The participant could be trapped to lose a 0 from what he had already won. Surely not worth sacrificing KBC for this show.
Now I wonder what Govinda & Sony TV is upto.
We need original concept and not cheap imitation. Let the channels realise this.
