The Animal song is based around wanting to be more carefree, its about getting out of the boring cycle that is everyday life and living by your own rules. Compassion for life creates inane boundaries primarily for the purpose of allowing us to break through them and this is what this song is all about. As the song continues, it unwraps in a similar way that a children’s story tale would unwrap, and yet, it has the same depth and meaning as a great novel of English literature.
