To be frank I had no idea of writing a review on the Satyam Multiplex. But one of my friends suggested me to do so, and indeed it really interested me to do write one review on it. All major cities in India Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore and Hydrebad are fast catching up with the trend of Multiplexes. There are number of multiplexes in these places. Imax’s, INOX’s and other Multiplexes are popping up all over the country.
Chennai is a major commercial city especially for the filmmakers. People from the bollywood and tollywood seem to prefer Chennai for their films production work. Being so prominent it’s sad that we don’t have high class Multiplexes to boast off. The only savior is the Satyam Multiplex. It’s the best one in the city. Probably the most frequented by the crowd too. The Multiplex has five theatres Satyam, Santham, subham, Sree and studio-5. Satyam and Santham being the biggest of the five halls. While Sree and Studio-5 are very small ones.
These theatres give you the best of sound effects. I have witnessed so many times that there is a vast difference in watching a movie here than in any other theatre in the City. It definitely has highly comfortable seats more importantly spacious enough not to be worried of being cramped by others. Sree and Studio-5 have couple seats made of huge cushiony sofas very suitable for the couples. It indeed attracts a lot of people. The hep crowd is always to be seen frequenting the Satyam Multiplex. When you visit the Multiplex on a Saturday night you keep wondering whether you are really in Chennai or is Bombay or Bangalore.
The Administrative people come up with lot of marketing strategy to keep the interest of the public alive. Less than a year ago they came with the concept of The Fa fresh zone that denotes the ticket booking area. While in most of the other theatres you land up standing in huge queues under the scorching sun. The Fa fresh zone is relatively cooler and has a fresh fragrance as it name denotes which is made possible with the help of special curtains that keep the freshness surrounding. Then they brought in the system any ticket at any counter i.e. you can get tickets for any one of the movies at any given counter. This indeed is very useful and it definitely serves the purpose right. Recently they have come up with RDX surround sound system of world class standard. Added they have a few food stalls that give you delicious snacks and eatables.
As its advantages there are a very few disadvantages too. The main thing is the Parking lot. It takes a hell a lot of time to park your vehicle. Guess they can sort out someway to ease it out. It creates too much of a traffic jam and chaos. Hopefully they can avoid this. The ticket rates are generally of the top notch here, though it is expected in such Multiplexes. You are sure to spend a lot from your pocket to enjoy a movie out here.
Irrespective of these minor disadvantages, the crowd visiting the Multiplexes is always seen increasing. If you are in Chennai then I am sure you would have gone to the Multiplex at least half a dozen of times.
