Impressive Star cast and a powerful story line of the prequel ’Sarkar’ drove me to the theater.....was expecting a passionate power play.....
Story is about the parallel power exercised
by the Nagare family over Maharashtra, which comes from faith and fear, alike.
Characters have close resemblance with the book "God- father" and the Thackeray family.
Nexus of politics, business and crime shown, though the intensity of the same is much deeper than what meets the eye....the storyline could have been made more exhaustive a it was focused on one story - construction of a big power project.

Though the first half was absorbing, storyline just missed a consistent spark--story petered out at the end...
No songs really except the Govinda-Govinda track (I liked the track)...
Focus shifted to Big-B squarely in the second half , simply because story did not have much for other characters.....
All in all,can be a good onetime watch, provided no big expectations are harbored from the film.
