The word Sanjivani always makes me remember the incident of our great Ramayana of Hanuman bringing this divine medicine which is a herb for the dead Laxmana...(if i m not wrong). This sanjivani brings
life to Laxmana.

Here I am talking about the serial ’’Sanjivani’’ aired on Star Plus from 9:00pm to 10:00pm on wednesdays. This serial is all about 4 young doctors who are here at Sanjivani Hospital for their internships. Mohnish Behl plays the character of Shashank who happens to be very strict disciplinarian but very soft from within. His lady love is Smriti played by Irawati Harshe. Both of them are the senior doctors of the Hospital. Now let me introduce you to these 4 young dynamic doctors. Rahul Mehra, the son of the famous cardiologist of the city, comes from a family of doctors. He is smart, handsome and dreams of becoming a great doctor. Juhi Singh, the beautiful, cute and bubbly girl comes from simla....who has come this far just with her firm determination and dedication. Omi Joshi - He is a person who strongly believes that more than medicines, a smile can drive any pain or suffering. Simran Chopra, the spoilt brat of a very rich father who owns the hospital yet very gorgeous and Rahul’s best friend. As time flies, Rahul comes to know that he is in love with Juhi. Juhi never reciprocates. But there is a past of Shashank which nobody is aware of. Shashank and Smriti were once a happily married couple. They part their ways because Shashank is in the Operation Theatre for some crucial operation and could not attend the operation of his only son Karan who falls from the terrace which eventually takes the life of the child. Smriti could not forgive Shashank for this and they get divorced. When they get divorced Smriti is pregnant and she delivers a baby girl about which Shashank is not aware. Now they are in the same hospital...still having strong feelings for each other.

As the serial proceeds, Simran who is head over heels in love with Rahul cannot digest the fact that he is interested in Juhi. Omi, being a silent spectator supports Rahul and Juhi. One fine day Simran’s parents and Rahul’s parents decide their marriage which is strongly protested by Rahul. But for Rahul’s parents there are no choices but to marry off Rahul to Simran just because they have to pay a debt of Rs. 1 crore to Mr. Chopra, Simran’s father. All this while one can see the small tiffs between Simran and Juhi..

I was talking about their personal lives...but if you watch the serial on a regular basis..you can see the dedication that these doctors have towards their noble profession. The different ways that they follow to cure their patients. The fact that we should know that these doctors are our true ’’Sanjivani’s’’. Can u imagine a world without doctors ?

This serial is all about this noble profession and people attached to this profession...their professional lives...their personal lives....their moments of glory, happiness...specially when a difficult operation is successful and moments of sorrow....when...…….. People always expect wonders from these doctors who too are human beings. These bunch of newcomers playing the roles of the young doctors look promising and are going to go far ahead in Tellywood. All the senior actors are also doing a good job. I would suggest that if u r free on a Wednesday evening….then this serial is worth a watch.
