I bought Samsung Star with WiFi in Dec'09.
Within 8 months, its touch screen stopped working, I visited the authorized samsung Service Center (Techno Care, Sec-29, Noida), service center technician said, Its touch pad has to be changed. Surprisingly during my 1 hour stay in Service Center, many people visited center for similar kind of issue, that touch screen is defective and not working, samungh technician also admitted that Samsung has this issue.
All customer who came to get back their repaired mobile complained that Service Center never pick the phone and take 3-4 weeks time to repair, they have to visit many times to service center, service center committed time is 1 week.
I could not understand why they need 3-4 weeks time to just replace the defective touch pad.
One reason could be as per my observation in Service Center, every 2-3 minutes they receive one mobile for repair, they have huge backlog, and touch pads or other components are not in their stock.
Important thing is, mostly people only visit the authorized service center when their mobile phone is under warranty, after warranty people try to get it repaired out side.
Anyway, I just wish to get back my phone on time, and works after warranty also.
My recommendation is, dont buy this poor quality phone.
