The following are just the main features, the SGH2400 is a great phone, and certainly reccomended by me!

The SGH2400 has voice activated dialling. This comes in useful when you can't remember a certain persons number, or if you simply can't be bothered keying the number in! The voice dialling function rarely messes up, except when the battery life is failing.

It only weighs 90grams! You can hardly feel it in your pocket, and I often find myself checking all my pockets before I find it! It's tiny size also helps me to feel like I've lost it- dimensions are 108 x 45 x 18.8mm !

It has a decent vibrating alert, available on silent mode or accompanied by a ringtone. It is quite powerful too if you consider its tiny size.

The active flip (i.e. opening and closing flip answers and ends calls) is very reliable, and never seems to falter.

It is Data and Fax compatible, although these features are never needed by the typical user. I have never used them anyway!

It's battery life is 155 mins talktime, 55-60 hours standby, which is once again pretty good considering its tiny size. Some people may disagree with me here, but for a battery this small you can't complain!

A Handsfree kit is included as standard with the phone, which in my experience is the only phone to do this. It isn't bad, but the connectors seem to fail every now and again.

The phone has 99 extra phonebook entries, and these are really just an extra you can do without. My SIM card can hold 200 anyway, but the extra 99 are useful-just in case!

It has a Date/clock/alarm, however no games are featured which some people may dislike. I don't mind having no games though, as a phone is a phone to me!

Obviously, as almost all modern phones do it has text messaging, however it has no predictive text input. I find this quite annoying, as my 3210 is a breeze to send messages on.

It has a nifty voice recorder for notes and reminders etc, along with speed dialling, call waiting, conference calling. The voice recorder I find very useful, esecially for reminding me of my Mums birthday! (A MUST!!)

It is dual band i.e can be used almost anywhere in Europe. This is useful when you need to stay in touch whilst on holiday.

It also has a Keypad lock, if by any chance the flip should come undone. A useful caller ID (shows you who is calling before you answer) is on the phone too. I find this good should someone phone who I don't want to speak to. I can just reject their call!

There is really only one problem that I can think of having encountered with the SGH2400, and that is the reception. It isn't always perfect, however this may not be typical to everyone. Also, battery power is drained quickly through continual useage. This is compensated by the fast charge time though, about 4 hours.

I really like the Samsung SGH2400, although many people wont have even heard of it! Samsung are relatively new to the world of mobile phones, however they are doing a sterling job catching up with the likes of Motorola and Nokia! My opinion is also confirmed by the people at 'what cellphone magazine' who gave it an award of excellence.
