Hi, let me get down to the facts based on my experience with the samsung R220, i'll try and give an objective comparision between this and a nokia 3310 / 3315 , as i've had the opportunity to use both exstensively : - in terms of looks it's pretty good, when lit it's got a sophisticated look - the display is quite bright ( as compared to a 3310 / 3315 ) and can actually help you find your way inside a building during a power-outage. - this phone has got multiple alarms , ie three to be precise, a feature which is quite useful ( as against a 3310 / 3315 which has only one and has to be manually set, everytime needed ) - it's quite light and a bit smaller when compared to the 33xx series. - the conversational volume is quite loud as compared whereas the call quality ( clarity ) is better in the nokia models. - the service light feature is a wonderful one, which does not exist in the nokia models. this feature is really useful, even in silent mode, you can easily know if an sms has come to your phone even in the dark. - this phone supports upto 50 reminders ( as against to 10 in the nokia models ) , and its very easy to move / copy reminders. - this phone has an in-built calendar ( you can see the day of any month of any year ) , where as the nokia models don't have this facility. - this phone does not have a facility to add words to the in-built dictionary whereas the nokia models support that useful feature. - the battery lasts for about 3 days, charging takes place fast , similar on the lines of the nokia models. - the one problem i've faced with this phone over the last one year is that it has a network problem, I had difficulty in messaging and making calls, took it to the service centre and had the mother-board replaced. the problem has reduced but it does occasionally surface. ( whereas the nokia hasn't given any network problem ) - in the call register option , under the option for missed calls , if a person tries to reach you from the same number, you get to see the number of times they've tried and the time-stamps whereas in the nokia phone only the last time-stamp is shown, hence you wouldn't know if they have been trying to reach you many times. - the phone can't be configured to only vibrate for an incoming message overall, this is a nice phone with a couple of features which you won't find in it's category in the nokia stable.
