Hello My Msian friends I m back with my review on Samsung Corby TXT B3210. Well I am very fond of mobile as I purchased it 2 months back & very much satisfied & happy after using it.
As earlier I wrote a review on Micromax X505 Psych in that I have mentioned that its touch sensitivity is not good. But after using Samsung Corby txt I realised that this phone is 4 time much better than Micromax.
So now I am describe in detailed why I liked it.
Samsung Corby TXT B3210 is a very stylish trendy mobile phone. It is designed particularly for the heavy-texting user & is equipped with a QWERTY keypad for quick messaging access. The trendy look adds to its appeal and makes it ideal for the younger generation.
It is loaded with user friendly features for quick messaging, easy emailing, instant messenger and quick access to popular social networking sites and has a cartoon UI & comes with changeable back plates (battery cover).
The phone has 37 buttons which are essentially a short cut to the special menu. I purchased it in Rs.4500 /- and sold at all leading outlets.
Design
The Samsung Corby TXT B3210 has the Curve shape style. Its dimension is 112 x 59.6 x 12.9 mm. And its weight is 94 gram & network GSM 900/1800/1900. The fashion jacket enables you to change the back cover easily, change it with the color you like.
About the screen, the 2.2 inches screen size. 262 thousand TFT display of color depth, with a resolution of 176 x 144 pixels. The user interface option introduces interesting cartoon themes. There is also the menu transition effect feature.
The CorbyTXT features have a thumb-friendly QWERTY keypad that makes texting friends fun, fast and easy. The phone’s numeric keypad is highlighted in yellow, towards the left of the keypad, making it comfortable for single hand typing. The phone has 37 buttons which are essentially a short cut to the special menu.
The left side has the volume control; the right has the camera button the top of the phone has the 3.5mm jack for the headphone along with a charging port.
It has a lots of the social networking services bundled with it on the home screen, including Facebook, My Space, Orkut. The default home screen has all common application lined up, including the SMS inbox, music player, organizer and alarm shortcuts displayed in a clutter free manner.
It has a limited internal memory of 40MB, which can be expanded up to 8 GB with a microSD card.
It can stores 1000 phonebook entries with help of volume key control you can slides up & down to find any contact & search option is there same with your Inbox messages also. So it becomes very convenient.
The device comes with a mini USB 2.0 and Bluetooth v2.1
Camera
The phone has a 2 mega pixel camera, with maximum resolution for clicking pictures at 1600×1200 pixels, and the minimum resolution is 244×176 pixels & auto focus. You can upload the images directly to social networking sites.
Features of the camera include – three shooting modes (single, multiple and mosaic), add effects into pictures (black and white, negative and sepia), white balance setting, self timer, effects, frames, brightness, 11x zoom, and viewfinder mode. You can record videos in normal as well as multimedia modes, with audio enabled or disabled.
FM Radio and Music & Video Player
FM radio is a separate menu that has the ability to catch FM frequency. In addition to self-tuning, About the music application, it has standard navigation features such as repeat, shuffle, background playing, sound effect and auto off. Also features Bluetooth stereo.
The radio & music player can be set to run on the background & can do multi-tasking. And allows you to download and play your favourite tunes wherever you want. The music player support MP3, AAC and WMA formats. The FM Radio with recording functionality gives you even more to listen to – whenever, wherever.
Now let’s describe about video players it has maximum Resolution 176 x 144
The video player supports 3GP / MPEG 4.
Internet, Chatting and Email
It uses GPRS / EDGE connectivity. To browse the internet it uses Net Front 3.5 mobile browser. The advantages of this browser are equipped with the function zoom in / out, virtual pointer, run java script and play sound.
The phone comes with interesting apps like Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa &Friendster among other.
It support WAP 2.0, & Full XHTML, Zoom, Auto Configuration, Offline Mode, Proxy Setting, Modem. It has a Multi IM capability to chat with multiple contacts simultaneously.
Besides, multi IM also merges the instant messaging accounts into simple connection, so users can send and receive messages through Google talk, Fring. Fring application runs on Java platform and is a multi-network, can run multiple chat services at once.
It has features called Conversational SMS, with which users can easily follow conversations and each text message is displayed in special line-by-line combos. The combos are accompanied with cool bubble-quote graphics.
It has Email Setup Wizard to guide you through a series of easy-to-follow steps that makes setting up email accounts. And its auto-polling capabilities intermittently push emails from the server to the Corby TXT so you don’t need to check manually.
Samsung Corby has the ease POP3 email settings. To activate, input a username and password for Google Mail and Yahoo Mail. You can create up to 5 email accounts.
Now let’s talk about OTHER FEATURES
It also has a dictionary & The 'prayer scheduling' option for Christian prayers, Hindu Prarthana, Islamic Salat and the Sikh Gurbani is an added feature and users can set a time for these to play automatically. The call features have Quick dial, Voice dial, Photo caller ID, Video Caller ID, Video Call, Conference Call.
Enabled Java Games, File Manager, Video Memo, Flight Mode, Voice Recording. Typing simple message can continue up to long SMS 1836 characters. Also send MMS has E-mail, Voice Messaging, SMS Broadcast. It’s come with 800 mAh Lithium ion, with 390 hours standby time and 7 hours 30min talk time.
Conculsion:- Well end by saying I am very much impressed with its good looking & good performance. Samsung Corby TXT B3210 is meant for the heavy texting youth, but the prayer scheduling feature, sure makes it a versatile and a handy phone for all age groups.
With such features, stylish design and its low price. This device is the best choice for those who are in tight budget.
