Quality of teachers: Better than Average to good. Teachers are really open hearted and kind and good I will say.
Does that matter? : No. In + 2 you really don't depend on schools. No school in the city of Kolkata lives upto the standards of their propaganda about teachers. Sure, teachers are really good in some schools, but teaching is pretty much the same. So, it really doesn't count if you are serious. Apart from + 2 I've heard from my friends there that junior teachers are also average to good.
Quality of students: Bad to average. You aren't going to find very good students here, though there are exceptions of really bright ones. There again we come to the fact that school really doesn't count much. The study culture isn't very prevalant and strong here I must say.
Environment: Middle class; not much into the fests and other useless cultural programs that most schools participate in. That is only if you want to go into studies after + 2 or after college however, because if not, these events expose you to many things that books won't . But unfortunately the youth doesn't catch that quite well and gets into the useless stuff more.
Abusives? : Yes. There isn't a school in the world where high school guys don't abuse, and of you think convent schools have non abusive children.( LOL)
Study culture: No. Not much. If you are a serious guy, you won't find people of your type here. This is one con of these schools, which does demarcate them from the well reputed ones.
Labs/Facility: Pretty much the same as every school.
Administration: A little slow, but I won't say inefficient.
Unaccounted and extra money? : Yes seldom they do take that.
Picnic? : Yes. And more or less cheap. The food served is good.
School grounds? : Yes. Big. Although it belongs to the govt. : 3 but who cares, we are citizens too.
Would I recommend? : Yes, IF the student is serious. Although there are better schools in some aspects, but it is also better than many schools ( even reputed ones) in some aspects. So it depends on the student, his priorities.
