Salman came to screen with a small role in a Rekha and Farooque Sheikh starrer, Biwi Ho To Aisi.

His role in the movie was insignificant and failed to give his any recognition in the industry.

Being the son of famous movie writer Salim Khan, he was brought up in an environment that molded him to be a successful Actor in the Industry one day.

His fate finally brightened up with the release of Rajshri's 'Maine Pyar Kiya (1989)' that acted as his Debut movie.

The movie did wonders on the Screen and Salman became the hottest star on the block.

This movie broke all the records and brought to him unlimited fame and new assignments.

Salman was flooded with new proposals but still he selected all his movies with great caution.

As a result, he gave successive hits.

Baaghi (1990) Sanam Bewafa (1991) and Patthar Ke Phool (1991) raised his career to top and he was considered to be filling the number one position that was left vacant after Amitabh.

Then came 'Saajan' (1992) that gave Salman a new image and he again emerged as a big craze for his fans.

In this movie Salman paired with Maduri Dixit who was one of the top Actresses those days.

The movie was a Blockbuster.

But after this came an era of flops which was the result of the disturbance in his personal life.

Suryavanshi (1992)

Nishchay (1992)

Jagruti (1993)

Chandra Mukhi (1993)

Dil Tera Aashiq (1993)

Chaand Kaa Tukdaa (1994)

Sang Dil Sanam (1994)

As a result failed miserably.

His position was much effected and his charm started declining.

This was the end of the first phase of his Movie career and he was required to put real substance in his work in order to come back into the race.

Salman's growing success soon went to his head and due to his bad attitude he became extremely unpopular with the Press.

Press labeled him as an arrogant, rude and ill-mannered Actor. His behavior made the Producers think ten times before signing him in any movie.

The only one impressed by him was Sooraj Barjatya who launched him through his Blockbuster 'Maine Pyar Kiya'.

Sooraj again castled Salman opposite Madhuri Dixit in 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994).

The movie did wonders on the screen and brought the people back to theatre.

The movie celebrated a Golden Jubilee and again he was the Star of the masses.

Salman was impressive in his first comedy flick Andaz Apna Apna, but it was Aamir Khan who stole the show throughout the movie, there were tension between both actors, Aamir Khan swore never to work with Salman khan again due to his bad attitude.

Then Multi starrers movies followed like

Karan Arjun (1995) (Shah Rukh Khan) (Kajol)

Jeet (1996) (Karishma Kapoor) (Sunny Deol)

Khamoshi (1996) (Nana Patekar) (Manisha Koralia)

Judwaa (1997) (Rambha) (Karishma Kapoor)

Finally some solo hits came at last for this poor actor, Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai (1998) Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) and Bandhan (1998).

All did good business at the Box Office and made a profound and secure position for him in the industry.

More laurels were added to his performance with the release of Sooraj Bahjatya's third Blockbuster.

Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999) (Saif Ali Khan) (Tabu) (Mohesh Bhel) (Sonali Bendre)(Karishma Kapoor) another Multi Starrer movie.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) (Aishwariya Rai) (Ajay Devgan)

Biwi No 1 (1999) (Sushmita Sen) (Anil Kapoor) (Karishma Kapoor)

Both of these were multi starrers movies, Salman Khan got Overshadowed By Ajay Devgan and Anil Kapoor In both of these films.

This Proved that Salman Khan cannot managed to deliver a solo hit on his own, he needs the help of co actors or co actresses to get hit films at the box office.

Then flops movies came his way like

Auzaar (1997)

Jaanam Samjha Karo (1999)

Hello Brother (1999)

Chal Mere Bhai (2000)

Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye (2000)

Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002)

I can describe a small sentance for Salman Khan film career in Bollywood.

One Trick One Pony the same could be said for Shah Rukh Khan.

Salman Khan in this era has done many romantic triangles movies and stupid slapstick comedies all of them are Multi Starrer Movies I will prove this to you.

You know the surprising thing that all these films are huge Hits at the Box Office

Movies like

Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000) (Rani Mukherjee) (Preity Zinta)

Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001) (Rani Mukherjee) (Preity Zinta)

Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002) (Madhuri Dixit) (Shahrukh Khan)

Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge (2002) (Sushmita Sen) (Diya Mirza)

Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) (Priyanka Chopra) (Akshay Kumar)

Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya (2005) (Sushmita Sen) (Sohail Khan) (Katrina Kaif)

No Entry (2005) (Anil Kapoor) (Fardeen Khan) (Lara Dutta) (Bipasha Basu)

There is one movie that stands out. Tere Naam (2003)

You have to get through the first half of the movie (with the awful hair, nasty attitude, and scared girl to appreciate the second half, for it's in the second half that Salman Khan proves he can act.

And I must confess, this was a pleasant surprise! I'm used to Salman Khan playing men you love to hate (or is it just him?) He always seems to be looking for an excuse to take off his shirt.

But in the second half of Tere Naam, his character's pain is palpable, and you genuinely care what happens.

Now, let's hope Salman Khan will begin to get more mature scripts, so he can show his acting skills all through a movie.

So the Era for the craze for Salman's fans continue, making his fans loose their breath when he takes off his shirt on the screen, thus revealing his perfect muscular body.

Today he is one among the five best looking Actors of the world and rules over the hearts of the females.

Salman Khan is one of the most Handsome hunks of Bollywood.

He is followed by a whole bunch of frantic fans that consider him as their ideal Star.

This long queue of his fans could be compared to that of Rajesh Khanna's admirers in the 70's.

The extent of craze of his fans is so great that they wait outside his house for long hours, just to get a glimpse of their favorite Star.

He possesses killing looks and perfect body that make his fans worship him.

The girls take deep breaths just by his entrance on the Screen.
