I bought an Alto LXI from Sagar Automobiles on 11th of Nov 2004, I am writing this review on 9th of Dec 2004, Maruti True Value Website says ’’ We complete all the formalities and submit the documents with RTO within a day or two. ’’ But Sagar people at Automobiles told me that the vehicle was hypothecated to CItibank (When I was taking the delivery of the car and NOT When I paid the advance to them) it would take a week for them to get the car transferred to my name, I believed them, but till date they are dodging me giving all kinds of reasons.

Apart from that, the maruti claims to refurbish the car which the dealer has not done, he is supposed to get the vehicle serviced before it is delivered, Sagar has not even checked the Engine Coolant and engine oil levels .

They openly agree with me that they are at fault and ask me do do what ever I would like to do with them

I am editing this review on 27th of December, I understand that they have got all the documents necessary to transfer the name to my name, The job is NOT YET DONE when I try to contact their Sr. Manager Sales Mr. Jeevanand, he says ’’I cannot discuss this issue with you’’ and disconnects the phone, They do not have the courtesy to talk to their customer politely or respond to his problems. Their motto seems to be ’’Your suffering Our Enjoyment’’ instead of ’’Your car our care’’ as they put it on their business cards

I got the vehicle registered in my name after a lot of chasing and fighting with the dealer, In fact I had to threaten them that I would go to Maruti regional office and write to some Auto magazines, I also informed them about my review at Mouth shut and the number of views for this review and also about the comments from various viewers, all this counted and they got the car registered in my name.
