Gross negligence by doctors and nursing staff
Jul 28, 2016 02:34 PM 20259 Views

Infrastructure:

Medical Care:

Staff Attitude:

Due to the callous attitude of the nursing staff, my father who was admitted here developed bedsores during his stay in the hospital.

Callousness of support staff:

Some of the nursing staff are unbelievably incompetent and callous with giving medicines and would frequently end up give the wrong medicines to the patient.

While giving a sponge bath, they would drag a rough wet towel on the body of the patient, leading to skin peeling off.

When we made a big fuss about it, the director spoke to us and said he cant hire more competent people because they demand larger salaries.

The dietician is a joke. She will suggest something and the kitchen will send something totally different that can actually be harmful to the patient.

Assigned doctor doesn't care a damn:

When we pointed out the bedsores to the assigned doctors, they would reprimand us and say "I am not responsible for this, you can contact the hospital management"

Excessive billing:

The assigned doctor experimented with different kinds of breathing apparatus on the patient and billed us 3000rs each day for the equipment.

They would repeat a sodium level test 3 times in a day and bill 350 rs each time. The same test done outside was costing 70 rs.

ICU staff attitude:

The ICU staff attitude is "the patients who come here are going to die soon anyway so why should we work hard and look after them"

Competent doctors are leaving:

We were acquainted with several good and competent doctors who were working here and they have all left now and dont visit the hospital anymore.

Looks like the hospital has lost the trust of the doctors as well.

However, there are some doctors, like Sanjeev Hiremath, who will force his patients to get admitted only to Sagar and refuse to treat them anywhere else(maybe because he gets a decent commission from the hospital)

All the commission blood money that these doctors make will come back and haunt their children. Till then, good luck with accumulating your karma.
