My sincere recommendation to people NOT to visit Sagar Hospital, Jaya Nagar, Bangalore.

This is the hospital that I use to visit for any treatment. It used to be good few years ago. I'm not sure if their business has gone down now. During last 2 visits to this hospital for my dad as an out-patient checkup had been converted to in-patient admission. And both the times it sounded to me like the doctors out here get some% for every in-patient admission. You could make that out by the way the doctors ask you to get admitted.

Last weekend, we went to this hospital to treat for Vertigo. Despite we have told the Neuro doctor that he is suffering from Vertigo, the doctor still asked to get a CT scan(probably OK) done and then asked us to get admitted. We asked if the ENT doc can come and check since he was facing the same problem and was resolved by the ENT 3 months ago in a different hospital . The ENT turned up only after 2 days(may be that's not his mistake) and meanwhile they did all tests, scans, etc., and said the reports are fine but he has fluid imbalance in the inner ear which is exactly Vertigo.

And to make things worse, since we did not get the room  initially, we got admission in the general ward. I'm not sure if the nurses over there(in the ward) are properly trained. They were finding nerves all over to inject IV fluids and in that process they made his hand full of wounds. And the response from the nursing team was worse.

After sometime, we got hold of a private room and moved there. It was comparatively better than the ward in terms of treatment. And then there is a Nephro Doctor who comes and says "Hi Mr. " and charges Rs.400/- for his visit. During one of his visit, my dad was walking in the corridor along with the physios. And this time the doctor did not even come inside the room and said "Hi Mr. "  and another Rs.400/-.

And you know what, the total expense of the treatment for Vertigo in this hospital came out to be~- Rs.25, 000/-

Are they assuming everyone is covered by Medical Insurance?

Are there any hospital still with service mind? Probably we need another Anna Hazare to fight against these people.
