When I was at my 12-13 I first Heard the Song "Pyar ke Dhaage" from Ghungroo . At that time My knowledge was limited only with Lataji , Ashaji only . I was surprised with the voice if it is
not Lataji who else ? That was my first musical encounter with her . After that till date (now I am 37) I am true fan of her . It is very unfortunate that Hindi Film did not recognize her so much even after some of best songs rendered by Her . I feel very happy that She got National Award . I am a bengali and fond of Music . When I heard Ravindra Sangeet on her voice I feel that music truely does not have any barrier . Personally also Liked her as in every interview I have never saw her to criticise any of her contemporaries . She is very Soft Spoken and Humble Human Being which is very rare in such a Profession .
