It may seem very funny for people reading an article on our cricketing god Sachin Tendulkar as we all know his calibre, his eye, his balance, his immaculate judgement of the bowling and i mean all this all are talked about. All this will be added in this article with a little bit more so that the reader does not feel bored reading this article.

Sachin Tendulkar was named Sachin because his grandfather was a big fan of Sachin Dev Burman (father of R.D.Burman), one of the greatest music directors our film industry has ever produced.

Sachin made his debut at a tender age of 16 when many of us would be preparing for our high school exams , but this guy chose to play for our country.

The range of shots that he displayed and the straight drive of Craig Mcdermott in the test of Perth during the 1992 Australian series is still fresh in my memory as i have never seen any youngster hitting the ball so hard as he did.

There were instances which clearly showed the bowler’s frustration in not being able to get him out with a ball that was meant to be and it was dispatched to the fence by the little champion. The debut century at Manchester in the second test in 1991 really transformed this wonder kid into a class of a budding cricketers and he was signed for a stint at the English county of Yorkshire as being the first overseas cricketer to ever be signed.

Normally a player goes through a lean patch in his career but this champion hardly any noticable lean patch and thats what is the hallmark of him. He has scored runs all round the globe and every player respects him for whatever he has achieved.

Normally when you talk about Sachin his exploits cannot be concluded without looking at the eventful career that he has had in terms of the runs he has scored or the number of centuries he has made which are far far off in the One Day Internationals and he is fast approaching the milestones even in test cricket and the country would surely our cricketing god to get well soon so that we see him in action against the all conquering Aussies at the first test in Bangalore because we all know what he is and what he can do.

Let us all hope and pray that he recovers before time and is there for all of us to see.
