Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar...one of all time great cricketers India has ever produced with more than 15900 ODI and more than 10500 Test Runs to his credit  failed miserably with the bat in India’s bid for 2007 Cricket World Cup.

Tame dismissal against Bangladesh, undone by an arm-ball, and being
bowled off the inside edge against Sri Lanka again reminds everyone of how over the years bowlers have learnt way to get rid of Master batsman.

At the same time,injuries over the years haven’t helped much either.

Whatever record books say,throught out his career there have been very less occasions when Tendulkar’s bat has helped in India’s victory over the rivals.Lately,how often we have seen Tendulkar smashing the ball down the ground for a six or terrorising the opposition?I know Tendulkar can’t be the same like the one when he started his career but problem is more  with his mindset then with his batting flaws.

Inspite of all this,Tendulkar’s contribution to Indian cricket can’t be ignored and will never be.He will always be counted among all time greats who ever played the game.But the real question now is : Should he continue or should he hang the boots as Kumble has done from ODI’s?

For us,he will always remain a role model for youngsters.At the same time we will really appreciate if he says Good bye to the world in a dignified manner ( as Shane Warne did) and dont want to see him desperately trying to  find a place in Indian Team.

No one knows better as how to go about it then Tendulkar itself?

For some readers,my review will sound a bit "soft" on Tendulkar as we all Indians desperately looked upon him to deliever when it mattered the most.But we should also not forget he has been leading star of Indian Cricket since he began his International Career.

For some readers,my review will sound too "harsh".After all its just a game......But i think when we distinguish him as "Greatest Cricketer",we also look upon him to bail India out when it matters the most in which he has failed miserably....WC exit the latest instance.Whole Team bears responsibility but Sachin you really dissapointed millions of cricket fans!!!!!!!
