When me and my sister went for the movie the very friday it was released, I had a pleasant sense of anticipation, wondering how Sanjay Leela Bhansali was going to live up to the high expectations that
he had built around the movie..with all the hoopla surrounding the latest star kids on the block and Bhansali’s ability to take out work from the worst of actors, I was sure the movie would turn out to be as spectacular as his rest!
But after the initial 30 minutes, I knew we were doomed to loooong three hours of boredom and  agony... The treatment & the story line were as unrealistic as the setting of the movie. The hero ( Ranvir) ,who by the way is a hottie ; )   is the only tolerable thing in the movie, Salman hardly has any part to play..being only visible for a maximum of 5 scenes in the entire movie (making one wonder why he consented to do the movie). The real let down was the heroine(Sonam), there is no logic behind her sudden laughter and even more sudden tears. Bhansali was heard explaining the same in an interview, saying that she is a woman waiting for someone, hence the sudden and wild mood shifts. For God sakes, we have all waited for people in our lives, but I dont remember breaking in hysteria all of a sudden!!
Rani Mukherjee is exteremey loud, but I guess her role demaded the same.
All in all, a sheer waste of Rs 500 as I had to keep munching popcorn and drinking cola to drown out the sorrow of having wasted 300 in buying the tickets!
