I think Neena Gupta is highly underrated as a director...
'saans' no doubt was successful at ratings but one wonders if it was because of its controversial theme rather than the directorial skills of an extremely talented lady.
Talking about the serial I just can't stop talking about it!
A more natural outlook to life has never been achieved in any other mega serial before......the characters are so well rounded and the balance between the good and the bad looks so convincing!
The characters simply underplay their emotions and in doing so they are well aware of the desired effect they are creating on the audience.
Neena Gupta excels and Kavita Kapoor steals the show!
Kanvaljeet is as natural as natural can be.
Every actor plays his or her part to conviction.
I am sure a part of this credit definitely goes to the director without whom such a balanced and accurate display of acting is impossible.
Watching it has been a treat and I am happy that it ended on a happy note because the characters had become so real that a bad ending would have been unfair on them........
The title song still rings in my ears...saanse sada nahin rehti......
