I am sharing my experience on “SQL The Complete Reference” by James R Groff, Paul N. Weinberg and Andy Oppel . It is one of the best book on SQL that can help you to learn sql at depth level.
Today, computer industry is growing day-by-day and we can understand Importance of SQL in computer Industry for managing and retrieving the data by technical and non-technical users. This book describe history SQL, standard of SQL and role of SQL in Various computer industries.
The entire book Is divided in six parts where part one provides an introduction of Sql and its role as database. Part two explain retrieving data with basic structures of SQL language. In part three of this book you can learn how to updating data with adding new data, delete Data and modify the existing data from database.
Part four deals with database structure by creating and administrating SQL Database while part five deals with programming with SQL that describes how application programs use SQL for accessing database. Part six of this book describe current scope and future scope of SQL in Computer industry.
At last part of this book, there is description for installation of various SQL DBMS Software like Microsoft SQL Server 2000, IBM DB2, MySQL and Downloading the Oracle DBMS Software with their installation procedures is given. "SQL The Complete Reference" book is written in simple language so that we can easily learn SQL and it's commands for creating tables, Update table, delete data, modify data, add data, remove data etc from relational database management system. Overall it is a best book to learn SQL from basic level to higher level and I like it
