Hongkong Shenzhen Macau Trip 2014 booking done from SOTC Ahmedabad but I guess the trip was from SOTC Mumbai as most of people in the group were from Mumbai.
1) I called SOTC Ahmedabad for tour rates and at the same time coincidentally my other family member called SOTC Mumbai and the difference of rate was Rs 6000 approx pp.
2) SOTC staff is too lethargic and unfriendly to talk with and also they do not provide proper information till last minute.
3) We were happy about one thing, our flights were proper and timings were also comfortable. But same was not the case for other people traveling with us.
4) Last minute we got to know that our Hotel in Hong kong is changed. Although rating wise Hotel was good but of no use. Hotel was way too far from the main city that returning to Hotel from shopping place caused us 100 HKD. While the original mentioned hotel was at least within the city.
5) The trip from Hong kong itself started at very worst point. Everyone had to wait too long to get their rooms. There was no water, refreshment drink, snack was served. Neither there was any place to sit and relax. Thank God Rooms were good. Breakfast was below average.
6) Tour Manager was careless and inflexible about everything. Hardly cared about any issue we complained about. Tour Managers have so much enthusiasm for informing about the place to his passengers but he lacked completely.
7) There were delays everywhere we went. Management was very sluggish.
8) Food, my god. For Lunch and Dinner for all 6 days same menu with hardly any change of subzi and change in sweets. Same punjabi food both times. We were taken to pretty good Indian restaurants who could have easily managed to have different menu. But NO!
9) Very little time for shopping. No proper guidance and tips anywhere for anything. Shenzhen and Macau was pretty fair, hotels were good. Venetian was of course the best. We hardly saw Macau tourist spots and as per the list some were missed out.
10) Traveling by ferry from one place to another consumes lots of time. Since one has to just keep moving from one place to another and carry our own luggage, one hardly gets time to relax. The way trip was organized was very hectic. We had elder people with us and they had to face so much trouble like waiting everywhere and late lunch-dinner(once we had lunch at 330pm and once dinner at 1130pm).
So guys always re-consider before going on trip with these guys. Lack of on-time information, lack of guidance and unfriendliness by one and all from start till end are major negatives.
