I have a saving bank account in SBI and so decided to get a SBI credit card a couple of years ago. The process of applying for the card and getting it was smooth and sweet.
The main reason why I wanted a credit card is to make online payments, especially for ebooks and courses from the US. My Syndicate bank credit card didn't offer this service, which was really inconvenient.
I also opted for automatic payment of credit card dues from my SBI saving bank account. I highly recommend that you do this so you don't have to remember to pay by due date. So far, I have not had a single problem with my SBI card. They have also automatically increased my credit limit twice without any application from my side, which means they are as happy with me as I am with them.:-)
Another tip: call them and exchange your reward points for cash instead of for gifts. It's not advertised anywhere but it's a much better deal.(This is my only grouse.)
All in all, I highly recommend SBI Visa Credit Card.
