Bad behaviour by SBI credit card company

I had been an owner of SBI credit card. I had made a purchase only once through my card worth 450/-.


However I did not recieve the statement post that purchase and the immediate statement I got was with the late charges and as a consumer I denied to pay my late charges.


However I made the payment of the Rs 450/- on recieving a call from one of their executive.


At that time the executive said that this would be your final payment and hereafter your credit card would be blocked and you wont be able to use the card hereafter. I have receipt of the payment made by me at that point of time.


I was also informed that after this I wont get any statements and SBI would block my card.


However I continue to get statements from their end and their executive keep calling me to make a final settlement which as per my knowledge the earlier payment I made shoud have been considered. However as a result of this the late charges have increased and now am being threaten by their executive that they would send me a legal notice.


Such sort of mishaps and threats are not expected from a reputed company like SBI. I posses credit card of their competitor company also and have been very much satisfied with their service also. My record with them has always been clean.


I have been repeatedly been asking these executives to connect me to their head but have never been able to get through and have always been speaking to customer care which rather than understanding the problem, gives solutions that are scripted to them.


Its not the question about making payments but how can a company deny so easily. Beleive me I considered SBI to be a reputed company but after this experience they just show what standars they set.


I would suggest their are better players who offer credit cards but dont go for SBI, their executives are rude, mannerless and top of that blame you rather than understanding the problem. SBI heads if they do listen to me here, I suggest you need to make some rapid changes at the ground level or in this competitve market and in times of recession, sustainaibility for you would be questionable.
