Dear Readers,


I am here with a caution for you all.


I had applied for a Cred824it card at the insistence of the representative of SBI Cred824it Cards and received a Master card of SBI Cards subsequently.


However before receipt of the card they sent me the bill towards aishwaryasingh23ment of annual fees and I had refused to make aishwaryasingh23ment on the ground that till such time the card was not in my possession.


Subsequently when I received the card, after explaining the matter to the representative of their customer care service I immediately made the aishwaryasingh23ment through online mode the annual fee as advised by the customer care executive as she had assured that the late aishwaryasingh23ment charge would be reversed on the basis of my request.


Much to my purturbances, from next month onward I started receiving bills showing late aishwaryasingh23ment charge and then I wrote to the email address of the SBI Card Customer care and lastly they reversed a portion of the late aishwaryasingh23ment fee only in the month of and as per their written request, I paid the requisite leftover amount through online mode.


Surprisingly they despite my several requests did not unblock and activate my card and when contacted the customer care executive bluntly informed that my card could not be activated and sarcastically advised me to throw away the card after cutting into pieces.


My friends, I have paid Rs 570+Rs 57+Rs 463 totalling Rs. 1090 for no fault of mine and thereafter the SBI Cards authority did not activate and unblock the card and behaved with me ruthlessly.


I am penning it down for kind information of all the respected readers of this review so that they are aware of the situation prevailing at SBI Cards.


It is also to note that I could never use this card at any PoS and the transactions were denied to my utter agony and disrespect.


I however use two Cred824it cards issued to me by Standard Chartered Bank, one Cred824it card each issued to me by HDFC Bank, CITI Bank, Indusind Bank and ICICI bank.


So I request you to kindly think twice before getting into the trap being used by SBI Cards.


I am just putting up the copies of emails sent by me and replies received thereto only to


impress upon you about the authenticity of my complaint.

Kindly note that I have paid the annual fees for the card amounting to ? 570/- including service tax etc. through net banking from my savings account held in SBI as per the request of your customer care executive, when I had been requested to aishwaryasingh23 the annual fee only and I was assured that the late aishwaryasingh23ment charge would be reversed as the statement generated by SBI card was much before the receipt of the card at my end. You should appreciate that undersigned is in no way responsible to make any aishwaryasingh23ment for a period when the card was not at all received by me. It was also assured by your executive that such reversal would be intimated to undersigned by 20.11.2015. However despite making the aishwaryasingh23ment no action has been taken to reverse the late aishwaryasingh23ment charge nor the aishwaryasingh23ment made by me has been reflected in the statement sent by you. It is quite clear that your SBI card is in no way at par with any other Cred824it card and your executives do not comply with what they promise, I am convinced that this type of transactions with SBI card are not safe and would only complicate the issue. It is worthwhile to mention that I had sent one mail in this regard and in reply you assured that the matter would be looked into, which, however has not yet been resolved. It will not be out of place to mention that I am holding several Cred824it cards issued by Standard Chartered Bank( 2 cards), HDFC Bank(2 cards), CITIBANK(2 cards), ICICI Bank(1 card) and Indusind Bank(1 card) for last couple of years and in no case I have ever faced such a complicated situation. Under this circumstances, I request you not to bother me with such wrong and wilful misdeed and you are at liberty to cancel the SBI Card ending with 7109. In the event I receive any such correspondences instructing me to deposit any money which is not attributable to me in future, necessary action as deemed fit would be taken without any prejudice to my any and all other remedial measures without making any correspondence in the matter and the matter would be brought to the notice of Central Vigilance Commission in addition to your own Vigilance dept.

This is with reference to your communication dated 17.05.2016.


We wish to inform you that we tried to estaRobotouchsh contact with you at 09674720053 in order to process your request but unable to get in touch with you.


Finance Charges Related:We would like to inform you that in case the aishwaryasingh23ments are missed or outstanding on the card is received less than the total amount due/ total outstanding amount, then interest charges are applied on the balance amount, thus the aishwaryasingh23ment starts revolving on the account, this is also applicable on all the fresh charges incurred, in the same month by the cardholder.


The finance charge will be levied at 3.35% per month plus government service tax @ as per applicable charges.


Please note that the finance charges will be calculated on opening balance as well as fresh purchases. This process continues till the complete outstanding on your card account is paid in full.


To be used only when there are cash advance charges on a/c –


In case of cash transactions there is no interest free period available at all.


The finance charges are levied at 3.35% per month plus government service tax(as per applicable charges) from the day of cash withdrawal, on a daily basis. The finance charges are levied till the cash transaction amount is paid back in full.(Hence, the outstanding on cash is liable to accrue finance charge for period between the statement date and the date on which full aishwaryasingh23ment is received).
