Rise and fall of germany , this book is written by william l shirer, so authentic for history students and also those who love to read past history of a nation , this book is a must to read. I HAVE READ THIS GREAT BOOK OF NEARLY 1000 PAGES FOUR TIMES EACH WORD.
Yes this book on the total war story and also the rise of germany with a minute details , I have read four times with a gap of few months each time.
HOW THE STORY COMMENCES LET US START. When the life of a nation becomes worse than animals to live then nationalism emerges and thus it paved way for the rebirth of germanism in the blood of each german and from the year 1918 to 1933 till HITLER got elected as german chancellor the way germany wanted to relive was so secret.
EVEN WITHOUT HITLER GERMANS WOULD HAVE WAGED WAR AT ALL FRONTS. After the world war one, the entire allied forces headed by france, england, poland, and other east european countries grabbed most of the buffer german land thus depriving germans a reasonable decent living life and also the victor countries annexed german speaking land and population into their country as incorporated.
U CANT FIGHT WHEN U LOOSE TOTALLY. So much penalty was imposed on germany, they could never recover their debt and germans started to sink each day from 1919 and there was no sympathy for germans from any country. POLAND NEVER REALISE GERMANS HAVE DIGNITY. Yes poland one of the victorious did wage war against Russians even after the end of first world war against RUSSIA though russia was strong it could not win against poland thus made peace treaty and allowing poland to grab russian space where there was german speaking population also existed.
FINELAND ALSO WAS READY TO WAGE AGAINST RUSSIA. Finland is such a small country and u cant identify it in the map but the finish people are persons who never felt fatigued fighting against anyone except germans. FINISH ARE ALSO GERMAN IN ORIGIN. Hitler has a peculiar problem when stalin attacked or finland attacked other way, there was no war pact between russia and germany and germans were mute spectators to see the killings of finish people by russian army.At this time allied forces tried to help finland but it was not possible as allied forces had to think of future political plan reserve with russia.

Each time I read this book viz second time the speed got reduced because it was like viewing a film u love to see again or a music u like to hear so slowly or repeatedly.i was just 22 years when I bought this book that was 37 years back and I kept this book as if from the shelves today.20 rs was the price I paid and now it may be around 400 rs easily. GERMANS HAD TO TAKE PERMISSION FROM ENGLAND FOR NAVAL BUILT UP.
Germans by nature or very secretive and they are still as secretive as they were after the first world war one.i have great respect for them, and they will never loose their far sight on action.By birth a german has the blood that is superior race for ever and this trait in them u can never kill. The author has very well narrated the wrong done to germany was the main cause for the rebirth of germanism and hitler gave leadership to this cause and even if he were not born in germany some one always was there to lift the spirit of germanism, this u cant erase forever even now.
Germans were prepared. yes each german was prepared for second world war, they never stopped blue print to wage war against France, poland, Russia, Czechoslovakia, annex austria, think of world domination, so hitler alone never was cause. How sure I am.
Even after the death of Hitler, germans were not ready to surrender, did Russia surrender when germans were at the gates of moscow, same applies for germans even when the enemy was at the gates. They were not at all sunk. yes Germans had this capacity to regenerate each time of defeat to resurge, but massive attack by allied forces forced them to give up.
DID THEY GIVE UP. No even today, you can see each german has the same capacity to regroup to become once again, because they are made of steel. HOW DO I KNOW. Who is richest now in Europe, it is still germany inspite of allied forces in their country.
