Friends, first of all I will tell you why I am saying Kwid as Baby Duster. I am saying that because Kwid borrows all the design ques from its bigger brother Duster. No doubtfully the car looks stunning. It is a entry level car made by Renault India. Renault has tried it best to make it a well packaged cars for Indian customer those who are dreaming about a budget car. But its look more like a suv rather than a budget car like altos or sentros. Renault has really made a great product for Indian customer.
Kwid has equipped with 799 cc petrol motor which produce 54 bhp of peak power at 5678 rpm. Its gives a class leading mileage of 25.17 kmpl, which is impressive. The whole car is weighs only 660 kg. But Renault India has claim that the car fulfill all the safety norms. Because of the lightweight body the car gives very good performance. Ride and handling is good but turning radius is large. It is a good car for day to day city travel. In highway it feels little bit under power.
Renault has made so many cost cuttings by replacing some unnecessary parts. But that is not a big issue they have design it so sensibly that you don't feel that lackness like the alloy wheels are three spoke instead of five spoke in other cars, single wiper at front, non retractable seat belts. The interior of the car is very spacious. Seats are very comfortable too. Also it has a class leading boot space of 300 ltrs.
So I can say it is a very good car for buyer those who are looking for budget car.
