Remix is a wonderful show. A wonderfully brain - damaging, mentally-retarding show. Who was the genius at Star One who decided that teens today are like the Remix characters??? The following are the characters on Remix : a 'mentally challenged' teenaged girl who has trouble referring to herself in the first person and whose dress always matches with her lipstick and her earrings, a lovesick Rajasthani boy who has a more oh-can-I-please-go-home expression on his face rather than a believably lovesick one, a spoilt son of a ruthless politician, a tomboy whose so tomboyish that she is pactically a stereotype, who never says anything without preceding it with a ''Du-uh!''.

Truthfully - who do you know who is like these characters? They are all way too extreme. Extremely pathetic.

Youngsters today (I am sixteen) are intelligent. We are open to more information than parents ever were. One of the things that we look forward to the most was Star One's heavily advertised show 'for teens', Remix. Thats why I felt really really let down after watching maybe a week's worth of shows.

I expected a funny show about youngsters at school studying, having fun, doing whatever, chillin out....what I got was a silly sentimental show about

1.a poor little rich girl and her three chamchis whose biggest, most thought provoking decision in a day is ''Babes, meri dress kaisi hai? Lipstick theek hai?''

  1. A boy from Rajasthan whose madly in love with Miss Lipstick. Oh, you're asking how I figured he's in love? Its easy. When his eyes start growing large and become moist exactly like a cow, and when he's starts looking like a goldfish [ you know, eyes glazed, mouth muscles frozen ].

  2. A tomboy. A girl who cannot be a girl gracefully, nor a boy convincingly. Some Moron at Star One thinks that if you give a girl a wierd haircut and traffic signal-red hair highlights, and put her in bulky pants, you get a tomboy. Excuse me Mister, a tomboy is not an idiot girl who is not only rude but dammit irritating [ ''Du-uh!'' ''Du-uh!'' ''Duh-uh!''grrrrrr], it is a girl whose not very girlish, that's all.

  3. A spoilt son of a rich, equally spoilt dad, who realises late in life that he's in love with Miss Tomboy.

These guys are supposes to be in high school [ college ?]. Do you seriously think any ONE of them is going to be able to land a job after college?

Oh yeah - I forget. They are all so stinking rich that they don't even need one.

Forget about being intellectually stimulating, these guys dont even try to be realistic; to them life is just one looooong party, punctuated by some more parties.

Oh yeah, and one last point. I thought Maurya High was a school. Silly me. Obviously not a school, since the closest thing you'll see to people actually studying is a bunch of the above mentioned losers with their equally intellectually deficient friends staring blankly at some guy in fornt of a board for maybe ten second, before the bell rings and everybody can get up, disperse and start talking about what they know best : my girlfriend, your boyfriend, my earrings, your dress, yada yada.

<Yawn>

When will Star one realise that teenagers not only have brains, but are also capable of using them?

Stop underestimating us! Give us a show that respects what we are.
