I have been using reliance broadband service for quite sometime now. I had been paying Rs 2021 (including taxes) since the time i opted for this connection( My plan is 600 Kbps unlimited usage). By chance i happened to know that the tariff plan for the same scheme has been reduced to Rs 1530( including taxes) . On calling reliance customer care i was informed that the new tariff plan viz Rs 1530 is being offered to new customers only. That means the old customer will continue to pay more,in spite of being with reliance for long.And on top the customer care persons were quite clear in their views that the old customer need not be changed to new plan.

For BSNL/MTNL connections the customer is offered new tariff plan automatically as and when the tariff is changed. Also if any any excess payments had been made the same is refunded in the next billing cycle.
