I use a Reliance mobile since the emergence of that company. I used to change my numbers and this is my 5th number with Reliance. I am using this since 1 year. I have noticed so many malpractices in R-World,
like you try to download a ringtone or a screensaver it will ask for more than 1 time. For each and every time you loose your money. I had such and encounter and I had to keep my mobile away from charging for more than 4 months. I have repeatedly told the customer care that they charged me wrongly. When I tried to download a ringtone I got a message saying ‘Request timed out, try again later’ I tried but did not get a ringtone. And they have taken money from my account. The issue is with bandwidth. They need to increase bandwidth or they should have a system to monitor whether the service is been delivered or not. But they are not doing it. They are taking customer’s money. The latest issue: I have registered with Do Not Disturb Registry. That means I am not supposed to get any unsolicited message. Now what Reliance does, they send sms from different numbers, when we call and enquire they will say it is not our number, it is of some individual. When we try to call that individual we will not get through. The number will be engaged. Yesterday, I got 2 SMS from Reliance 1) ‘Roz din mein 2 min mantra sune aur jeevan ka udder Karen. Dial TOLL FREE 564641 aur sune 100 se bhi zyaada mantra. Dial Toll free 564641’ Sender 56464 Time 8.00 am Apr/16 2) ‘Ab suniye apni bhaasha ke 50,00 se bhi zyaada manpasand gaane Call TOLL FREE 564642 kabhi bhi kahin bhi’ Sender 564642 Time 6.14 pm Apr/16 Since they have mentioned that it is a toll free I have tried it. I lost Rs. 30. When I called customer care they said, it is for the subscription. I did not opt any subscription. But they have charged me Rs. 30. Now I have registered a complaint with them. They said will look into and reply in 2 days. Let me see. Advice to all Reliance Users: Please do not call this Toll Free Number. They will charge you. ANOTHER ISSUE: Registered with DND registry-Stil getting SMS/Call. I have registered in Do not call/disturb registry one year back. I am still getting calls/sms. Why? I do not think that it is functioning properly. I have contacted TRAI so many times but no reply from them too. Is TRAI is for common man or corporate? I have registered so many complaints with my Service provider (Reliance), but no result. Even they are calling and send SMS. Yesterday I had a word with a Reliance customer care executive; he was asking me exact details of that call. Number is not enough to register a complaint. That means we need to listen to the call carefully and complaint. Normally, people disconnect a call if it is a promotional call. These people have another practice; they will make call/send SMS from a particular land line or mobile number. If we complaint they will say that they are just individuals not marketing company so they cannot take any action. But the content will be of the provider. TRAI need to play a roll, they should have a system to address these types of grievances. Other wise what they are regulating, making some law is not important, it should be implemented.
