This first Reliance Digital multi brand store in NCR opened in my neighbourhood Shipra Mall a month ago. I has got a attarctive and really wide range of products under its roof. The range includes:

AC,
Refridgerators,
Washing Machine,
Computers & Peripherals,
Gaming Consloes,
High End Home theatre systems
TVs,
Digital Still Cameras and Video cameras,
Mobile Phones,
Synthesizers(low end),
Other home appliances.
 
The store is a well apointed one, with an attractive display and staff in decent uniform. In every category of products it has got a good selection. But I feel that it somehow excudes the best of the grade. For example, the day I looked for SEK750i, it was not there. Similarly, in AC range, the products it  stacked were not the latest off the launch-shelf.

Further, I feel that their systems are still under testing and the ERP package they are running is not very effective as in providing the staff a flexibility of operations, very much needed in any customer-centric enetrprise. For example for finding out the avaibility of an item, it is required to initiate a sale transaction.

Their inventory system(tracking and replenishment) is also questionable as they seemed to be falling short of meeting the obvious demand of ACs in scorching summer. Though I would like to go out of my way to say that they have got some of the most courteous store management and sales staff, the extent of informedness on products that you come to expect from such stores was missing.

I have made a purcahse transaction with them, which cannot be said to be one of the smoothest ones, despite all the cooperation extended by the staff in listening to and resolving issues.

I expect such stores to stand on the side of consumer, when it comes to vendor-consumer relations. But, it seems they are also many times taken in by the false information peddled by the vendors, though I would not  like to suspect connivance. For details on this you can read my review on ONIDA AC WO18.

Overall, I feel that though their pricing is above average, that is the price consumer is ready to pay for a good and above board buying experience. Howsoover vendors may like to belive the contrary, consumer is not moron. Though the act of purchase, paying for the overheads of the vendors is a qualifying activity;-)
