Hey all,
I have been craving since long about sharing my opinion about reliance data cards, and what better platform than this.
I am an area manager in a leading FMCG company of the country. After joining the job, I realized that internet connectivity on the move would definitely be handy for me. So I went out to the market and bout the'Reliance Net Connect" data card. And believe you me, it is the most miserable prouct I have purchased ever.
Just to start, USB data cards are not as useful as the good old broadband connections but yes connectivity on the move is handy. For the usual net surfers they can be ideal.
But Reliance datacard ruined my surfing experience. Following being the attributes of the pathetic product -
Miserable speed(2-3 KBPS)
Poor device quality(The reliance phone users wud be well aware of the poor device quality that reliance is master of throwing in the market)
Extremely pathetic customer service(Though outsourced but the backend from reliance I am sure was the reason for it)
This device I bought, failed within 20 days of purchase complimenting its pathetic performance for the days it was alive. After running to the reliance service centre for a month, I got it replaced under the warranty, and to my amazement, the second device malfunctioned the very second day. It stiil cant connect properly and has major hic-ups during long surfing sessions.
On top of all this, the customer support of Reliance web world is awesomely disgusting. There is no concern at all for a troubled customer.
I had to fight my way to the store manager to gt my data card replaced.
I had purchased the data card in June 2008 and till date I havent had more than a week of satisfied use of the device.
I would recommend all users to stay away from a fraud company like reliance which has no customer service and post sales service orientation.
Tata is a better deal anyday, as it is a reliable devce and all my friends using it are pretty satisfied with the performance.
