I took a Reliance Netconnect+ dongle before some 5 years. Earlier there was lesser speed everywhere.It could provide maximum of 2MBPS speed in India, this is a upper limit I am talking about.
The above speed never came, not even whereabouts.
Recently, when the tarrifs plan got changed. I shifted the plan from 2G to 3G in 2015, as it was the then maximum speed connections.
From the very Initial Days, we had a problem of connection.The Reliance Netconnect Dongle did not Connect at all and even if it did, the page requested would never open. We tried taking our laptop on the terrace andthen use the dongle, but it was all I vain, luckily it did work sometimes, very rarely.
Where was the speed, leave what of the money we paid for the connection that did NOT exist even So we called the Service Centre where we paid our bills, in response they had a ready answer saying " you have just changed your plan, so it is obvious it takes a couple of days", though it was acceptable till 2 weeks. Then also I had various projects to complete, and my father also wanted it for the Share bazaar job.
Again I had to go to the Service Centre, and again arised the same excuses. Still we had hopes of the'Terrace Plan'.
But how long would that work.We could not rely on the same Reliance speed Finally my father bought me a MTS Netconnection, which HAD much better Tariff plans, and speed and Compliance of the MTS Service Centres as compared to the Reliance.And I switched over to MTS.And called off the Plans of Reliance and the dongle was of no use now.
Now the next Irritatation started with Paying bills.
I had not been using Reliance dongle for 3 months from then. My father's Email Address was not used from a couple of weeks, and it was registered in the Reliance Connection. So they had sent an E-Mail saying that the bills for the Reliance Connection is 3 months due. I was shocked when they sent a Reminder of the bills by calling on my number.
Though I was very angry, I stayed Calm and went to ask the Service Centre about the problem, they said that even if we did not use the dongle, full Tariff charges are applied plus the late fees are also added.
I was absent, after stopping the usage of Reliance Connection, and was Out of town for studies.So I said that I gave an application regarding shutting down my Reliance plans, but they denied to that fact and said that there was no written document submitted. It was my mistake that I did not take their confirmation of closing before.
It was 3000 bucks, we had to pay it.
Then I again requested as to Close my account, they asked me to PAY Rs 500 more to close the account, I was truly fed up with the way we were harassed by the Service centre.Finally I wrote an application, and stayed there until they reconfirmed that the account has been forever closed.
This was my Expereience
Where the concern was not Speed, which is in the case of other people, it was money plus Harassment in my case.
I hope you take better Confirmations and then use Reliance Services.
